The sleek, yet minimalist, industrial casing suits the theme of the set and encases the inner mechanisms that drive the model, visible through the windows set in one side. The crank-handle provides a smooth and steady retraction/extension of the mechanism, helped by exposed gearing, which adds to the industrial aesthetics of the model and work to time the rotation and retraction of the landing gear, providing an interesting dual-movement of parts, while also working to save space.
