Inspiration / IDEA concept:
I set out to build a stylish art model geared toward a sophisticated adult audience. To my surprise, a luxury mechanical wristwatch had not yet been attempted. The most qualified candidate being Rolex’s iconic flagship marque, the Submariner. Owing to its unparalleled cache in the pop-culture zeitgeist.
The sturdy, hard-edged aesthetic of the “super” case design lent itself perfectly to being reconstructed in Lego system. The result. An impressive, eye-catching, exhibition piece. Destined to be displayed in a place of prominence in your home study or office.
Design Features / Functions:
Novelties include: a signed brevet crown, functional rotating bezel, gilt “Mercedes” hour, "sword" minute and "lollipop" second hands, luminous applied indices and date window.
