Bloodhound SSC

After being in administration due to financial difficulties, it looked like the end of the road for the Bloodhound project. Thanks to a new benefactor, it has been brought back from the brink and there is renewed hope that the vehicle will be able to claim the record it was built for. Watch this space.

This is how the front winglets were first envisioned to look, with more accurate shaping and placement. However, accommodating this configuration introduced some weaknesses into the surrounding areas and a simpler version was preferred. Taking advantage of new parts available in LEGO Digital Designer, it has become feasible to revisit this idea. While still not quite as robust as it could be, the construction has been improved from the original attempt.
