Union Pacific Challenger

The Union Pacific Challenger is a 4-6-6-4 steam locomotive. Originally made in 1943 by the American Locomotive Company. There was 105 Challengers ever built.

I have loved trains for a long time. When I first saw the Union Pacific Big Boy I knew I had to build one. When I looked through my Lego parts I realized I didn't have enough wheels. I started looking at trains like the Big Boy and found the Challenger so I built it.

In my model this is a power functions model with glowing front light and flame. Although the battery is in the tender you can detach it through power functions extension wires and removable battery pack.
