Biplane

How the story is born..
Story begins with the construction of the Titanic…
While I was assembling it, I thought… with more than 9000 pieces you can build anything, and so, two days after I finished it, I decided to disassemble it to try and make something out of it.
The first idea was to build a building, but at a certain point, while I was taking the Titanic apart, the set of remaining pieces reminded me of the tail of an airplane, and it all started from there..
This biplane model is totally invented by me, it doesn't take any existing model in reality, I didn't do any research, projects, drawings.
I built it piece by piece as I imagined it in my head, trying and trying again, piece after piece.
I started the build from behind, from the rudder, I thought it would be the hardest piece and, if I succeeded, the rest would follow.
And so on, in search of the perfect joint… assembled and disassembled, trying out infinite combinations.
I had the rudder, I liked it looking at it, now I had to build the tail to be able to attach it, and it wasn't easy, but in the end I succeeded!
I built an internal, solid, compact and resistant structure.
The main requirement was that everything be stable: the biplane can be picked up, lifted, rotated, without the risk of it falling apart or losing its pieces.

Technical description:
The model is composed as follows: it has a solid internal structure, which includes the cockpit, inside the cockpit is the reclining seat where there is a fire extinguisher behind it, then there are the pedals, the cloche, a panel with instruments and lights , and some accessories such as radio, binoculars and a wrench.
Then there are 6 detachable side panels, the rudder and the two adjustable elevators are located in the tail, the flaps of the two lower wings are also adjustable, the 6 oblique and 4 vertical interwing struts hold the upper and lower wings together and give rigidity to the structure.

Then there is an 8-cylinder engine with two mufflers, etc. etc.
The model is equipped with a pedestal base, but can also remain without it, resting on the 3 wheels.
Finally, two mini bats act as mascots, one on the wing and one on the pedestal, thinking about the route for a new flight.

Dimensions:
The model is made with 2400 pieces, measures 50.1cm/19.7in. x 53.1cm/20.9in. 19.3cm/7.6in high. (23.2cm/9.9in. height with pedestal).

Let me know what you think..
If you too, looking around your lego collection, discover that you are missing a nice biplane, support the project!
