Hey everyone!
I proudly present my second submission, the pocket park! This gives LEGO minifigures a nice interruption from the overwhelming, crowded city. I understand that building a modular that doesn't fully cover the baseplate is a bold and controversial idea, but I have a few reasons behind why I did. First, modular buildings are extremely difficult to design and build, especially because of the amount of pieces they require (I kept this one at around 1,500), and the fact that all my designs so far are completely original. Having all four walls visible helps to add more detail and let more light in. Additionally, it let me use additional building techniques that can't be used that often in modular buildings. I also think it gives more personality and storyline opportunities.

The ground floor is a bakery, complete with pastries in the display window and a soft-serve ice cream machine. There used to be delicious cookies too, but they've mysteriously disappeared... The perfect place to enjoy a treat is the seating area outside.

The next floor up is a simple apartment, topped with an office where the detective works. Maybe he knows the whereabouts of the cookies?

While this building is fairly small, it was a huge milestone for me because of the wall art on the side (it's supposed to be a cityscape sunset). It took me a long time to design, but it was extremely rewarding and gave me a chance to add more colors. It was the perfect detail to add and helped convey the slightly industrial, downtown vibe I was going for.

Anyways, I hope you like this building. Please let me know your thoughts in the comments and be sure to look at my Post Office as well. If you like my buildings, please remember to tell your friends in the hopes that one day they might be on the shelves.

Oh! - and while you're at it, try to find the cookie thief ;P
