Help your fellow builder by leaving your feedback based on these three criteria:
- Originality: How original is this - never seen before?
- Building Techniques: How much skill do you think the creator of this MOC has, in terms of building technique?
- Details: Express how much you like the details of the build.
Your feedback is only shown to the creator as well as yourself. It is not available for other users to see. The creator won't see your user name.

Thank you, and goodnight.
Farewell, Old Fashioned Police car. 👋
Thank you to all who supported the idea.
Here's the humble emergency vehicle making a farewell chase after a blaggard who stole a retro delivery truck from the city.

A physical, but imperfect, build
Well, I have managed to source the pieces I need to create the Old Fashioned Police Car in physical form using a Royal light blue colour, rather than the original Azure colour.
As mentioned in a previous update though, not all the pieces are available in the right colours, and so as you can see from the image below, the mudguards stand out as they are not available in Royal light blue. However, the issue of the grey brackets on the side of the mudguards was solved with a little bit of an illegal building technique. I used 1x2 - 2x2 Royal light blue brackets and cut them in half so that they could sit on the wheel arches as 1x1 - 1x1 brackets.
So, here it is. A physical version of the idea that is [almost] perfect.

Many thanks to those who have helped the Old Fashioned Police car reach another century.
Here's an image of the car in action, trundling across the 1960's English countryside, to show my appreciation.

Update on the current piece colour availability
Following a question asked by @Pezz in a recent comment, I've checked the availability of elements and colours, and there are currently two elements that are not available in a colour that matches with the others. Unfortunately, these two elements are prominent in the design. The highest % of matching elements at the moment occurs when the original medium azure colour is changed to a light blue colour - it results in the Old Fashioned Police Car looking like the image below.
The elements required are;
The green baseplate shown contains elements that are available in the preferred colours - either new or via reseller sites.
The yellow baseplate shows the elements that are unavailable in a suitable colour - the mudguards (#35789) and the 1x1 - 1x2 bracket (#79389).
Also shown on the yellow baseplate are the printed / stickered elements that would be needed, as well as 2x2 corner plates (#2420) and a modified plate with clip (#11476) (both in medium blue that is *almost* passable), two 1x1 modified plates with clip (#61252) in dark bluish grey and a round plate with vertical swirl (#15470) in a light aqua colour.

Car, side build and background image.
I had intended to update the images on the main project page with larger, clearer images, but each time I try they are rejected, so I'll attempt to add just one of the new images here.
Here is the Old Fashioned Police Car with its dry stone wall side build. Fingers crossed that it works 🤞

The third century
Whoop whoop - thanks to everyone who has helped the Old Fashioned Police Car pass the 300 supporters mark. As a thank you for hitting a third century, here are a set of bonus images for the project.
In the last update I was pondering about a side build to add to this project, and after a lot of thought I opted for the country lane with dry stone wall, featuring a post box built into the wall;
The dry stone wall consists of various masonry profile bricks, log profile bricks, fluted profile bricks and studs on side bricks with ingots added in various shades of grey and olive green.
The cobbled path is created with a selection of round / half round and square tiles in a range of colours. A selection of weeds and plants growing through the cobblestones and in between the stones of the wall can be seen.
The post box is of the style that is built into walls and seen in many villages across the country. The label reminds people of collection times for the letters that they post.

Thoughts about an additional side build
I've been wondering whether the Old Fashioned Police Car should be bundled with a side build to give it some additional context and play value.
I had three ideas for what the side build could be;
- an old fashioned red telephone box for the PC (or WPC) to ring back to the station, with small telephone build and custom tile showing the telephone exchange codes
- the famous blue police box, with fire extinguisher, first aid kit, small desk and stool and custom note pad tile
- a dry stone wall, with cobble footpath,for the PC (or WPC) to walk alongside
As with the previous updates, please leave any thoughts in the comments section of this project,
Thanks.

200 and counting
So many "thank you"s are needed for everyone who's helped the old fashioned police car make it to 200 supporters.
Reaching 200 means there's another question to ask - what should the roof of the vehicle contain? The options are a single blue light (as shown in the main page images), a simple police sign without a light, or a simple police sign with a light?
I've mocked up how each version might look below.
As with the previous update question, please leave your thoughts in the comments.

To PC or not PC...
Many thanks to everyone who has helped the old fashioned police car cross the first milestone of 100 supporters.
I launched the idea for the old fashioned police car with a minifigure of a police constable, but wondered whether a WPC minifigure should be used instead of, or perhaps as well as, a PC.
I've created several WPC's that I've dotted around my own modular street - the Sillitoe tartan band on her bowler hat was created using a modelling decal sticker, and her torso is a custom design.
As with the PC, the minifigure would come with interchangeable hat and hairpiece.
The bowler hat fits into the storage space behind the driver, just the like the helmet for the PC does.
Thoughts on whether it should be a male or female minifigure, or even both?
