These two are models of the Moai statues on Easter Island, built by the Rapa Nui people between 1250 and 1500, which is still considered to be a remarkable creative and physical feat.
I have recently visited Easter Island and I was inspired by their odd yet serious faces. Through this set, I hope to allow enthusiastic builders to connect with the culture of the Rapa Nui people, who built these fascinating idols. They are excellent display pieces and can be displayed with an option of an elegant black base or they can stand by themselves on your self!
