Over recent years LEGO Ideas has brought space fanatics like myself
many great sets, like the Saturn V, the Lunar Lander, and of course
most recently the International Space Station.
But I
came to notice, a slight under-representation of one great
nation of space travel: Russia. I say
it is finally time to end this discrimination, and pay our tribute to Mother Russia! ;-)
But
in all seriousness, 2021 will mark the 20th anniversary of the
deorbit of the first modular space station, after more
than 15 years in service. I believe, that this would be the perfect
occasion, to bring this icon of the space age back to life as a LEGO
set.
The
model is designed with great attention to detail in 1:110 scale,
which means, that I will fit perfectly displayed next to the Saturn
V.
