Help your fellow builder by leaving your feedback based on these three criteria:
- Originality: How original is this - never seen before?
- Building Techniques: How much skill do you think the creator of this MOC has, in terms of building technique?
- Details: Express how much you like the details of the build.
Your feedback is only shown to the creator as well as yourself. It is not available for other users to see. The creator won't see your user name.
If people were asked to name only one figure in modern science, I'm confident that the majority would mention Albert Einstein.
In an exceptional way, one of the greatest theoretical physicists of all time left a lasting impact not only on the field of science but also on pop culture. Einstein's expressive face and distinctive hairstyles have been widely copied and became the model for portraying absent-minded professors.
My idea behind this project was to recreate Einstein's most iconic photo with LEGO bricks in the style of LEGO Art lineup. The original image was taken in 1951, at Einstein's 72nd birthday party.
I aimed to make the brick-built portrait as recognizable as possible, by using LEGO parts in creative ways: windscreen as a tongue, mudguards as eyelids, weapons as wrinkles, and dino-tails as hair. I used Einstein's eyes from the original image as patterns on 3 x 3 round tiles.
The portrait can be hung up on the wall.
Additionally, I added an Einstein minifigure beside the portrait, complete with a working desk, chair, and a blackboard featuring his famous equation of the theory of special relativity: E = mc^2.
The complete set contains 1758 pieces.
The dimensions of the portrait:
Width: 45 cm / 17.7 in
Length: 52 cm / 20.5 in
Height: 5 cm / 2 in
I hope you like my LEGO Ideas project, and I thank you in advance for all of your support!
