Holland America Line's Flagship MS Rotterdam 1:500 Scale

This is a 1:500 scale model of Holland America cruise Line's seventh MS Rotterdam.

I built this because I have a great love of cruising. I have high admiration for this company, and wanted to build a keepsake reminder of all of my family's fond memories. The Holland America company has a rich history dating back to 1872 in Rotterdam, Netherlands. The company started by carriing emigrants from Holland to America. In its 152 years HAL has always sailed a ship named MS Rotterdam. This is a model HAL's newest and seventh MS Rotterdam.

This Lego product would have global appeal. Over 30 million people book cruises every year. HAL sails to 98 countries around the world. Their brand is recognized and respected around the world. The HAL company allows an affordable way to see the world while enjoying the highest quality food, and entertainment. I feel HAL exemplifies the Lego mantra to "Play well"

Everyone loves Lego models. I believe this model will appeal to both avid and casual Lego fans. Cruisers would enjoy taking a Lego ship model home as a keep sake or souvenir.
