Bowling Alley Mascot
Did You Know...
Many years ago, bowling alleys started to coat their lanes with oil in order to protect them. This way, bowling balls wouldn’t make large dents on the wood surface. Today most of the lanes you’ll encounter are synthetic, but the practice of conditioning is still nearly the same. In addition to a protective role, though, the oil now also serves to add a new challenge to the game.
So I decided to add an oilling machine to my set (real oiling machine is on the right) ...
History of Bowling - Part 1
In 1930 the British anthropologist Sir Flinders Petrie and his team of archaeologists discovered all sorts of primitive bowling balls, bowling pins and other materials in the grave of an Egyptian boy from 3200 BC. It appears that the ancient Egyptians played a primitive form of bowling and that bowling is more than 5200 years old.

Almost 1500 Supporters - Thank You
In all the great feedback I've received to date a couple have asked about the height of the bowling alley and where everything is located.
I thought the best way is to show you all the levels together to add perspective.
Please note the back of the bottom floor swings open so you can reset the pins ensuring the set is easy to play with.
