Pirates - Islanders: King Kahuka’s Return

This MOC is loosely based around the play features and storytelling of set 6262, King Kahuka’s Throne, from the 1994 Islanders subtheme within LEGO Pirates. Not only do I strongly believe that Pirates should return as a consistent LEGO theme, but my favorite era of Pirates was this one! This set features King Kahuka’s Throne himself, as well as a few of his disciples to populate the coast of their island. The king can commute between his litter and catamaran via the mossy path connecting the two elevations of the set. On the left, under a palm tree, hides workstation where islanders can prepare pineapples to be eaten or converted into dyes for decoration. On the right, a small fish stall sits just inside of a small bay, where a spear fisherman has caught dinner for the island. A reincarnation of the Island Princess also wanders around the land, using a new Dungeons and Dragons CMF cape. Behind this display lie even more play features, such as a treasure barrel and cavern system for the pirates to sneak through before they are caught!
