Quidditch World Cup

Grab your broomsticks and wands, this is the LEGO Quidditch World Cup!

This LEGO set is inspired by the campground where the Quidditch World Cup, attended by Harry Potter and his friends in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, is set.  In this campground, witches and wizards alike show their support for their favourite quidditch team; Ireland or Bulgaria.

The set itself is comprised of two tents (the green and the white to represent the Irish team's tent; the red and black to represent the Bulgarian's), the interiors of which are furnished with wooden barrels and a chair (Irish) and a broom stand with table and golden goblet (Bulgarian).  The tents themselves are finished off with streamers, to match the colours of the teams.

As well as the two tents, there is also a large tree, hanging from which are green and red coloured lanterns.  Although not seen in the film Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, I felt that these coloured lanterns in the tree would give the set a warm, magical feel.  In addition to this, the set contains a small campsite area, complete with a wooden picnic table and mugs, a campfire with pan, two wooden chairs, and finally, a small table with a bottle of Butterbeer.

The figures included with this set are Harry Potter, Arthur Weasley, Cedric Diggory, Amos Diggory and a Death Eater (the figures pictured are just illustrations of who they would represent).  The set contains 200 pieces, and I would estimate this as costing around £20.00 - £25.00, based off the last wave of Harry Potter sets, though of course, I'm not entirely sure how LEGO figure out their costings!

With the upcoming release of Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them, I thought that LEGO revamping and bringing back the Harry Potter theme would give younger fans who may have missed out on the latest wave of sets, a chance to get into this magical theme.

Thanks so much for viewing my project!  If you like my idea, please support this to help bring back the wonderful Harry Potter theme.  Any comments or improvements you have, I would love to hear.  Thank you!
