Azure Manor

This is the Azure manor. This manor is inspired by the architecture of diverse cultures. I love looking at ancient historical buildings and the intricate designs weaved into them and how they shape cities and histories, and I created this set as a way of understanding their foundation and the complexity of geometric shapes.

When creating this set, I wanted to combine different kinds of architecture from various places. I took my main inspiration from the symmetry and consistency of Persian architecture with arches and a hint of Greek architecture through the pillars and roof slates. There is also a slight hint of medieval through the corner walls. But I also wanted to give it a slight modern twist with rooftop access. I also wanted to contrast the complex design with a simple colour scheme focusing on different shades of blue. I find buildings fascinating especially the older and unique designs. This set enjoyable to design.

This set is a total of 1784 pieces. The base is 37 x 34 studs and roughly 19 blocks high at its peak. The manor has 2 levels. A ground and upper floor with roof access and a small courtyard. The set has an outer wall and an inner building. I think it would make a great Lego set as every side of the set is different and unique, using a wide range of blocks and special pieces, especially arches. It also maintains a consistent look overall which makes might make it quite fun and challenging.
