Dragon Ball Z - Goku vs Ape Vegeta

Some of my fondest childhood memories are playing with Lego system and attempting to recreate my favourite Dragon Ball Z battles. So, I was ecstatic to learn Lego now accepts submissions for the DragonballZ brand.

The most epic battle in the entire Dragon Ball Z franchise pits Earth’s mightiest champion, Goku, against the ruthless Saiyan marauder, Vegeta. Goku’s hard-headed nature and valiant fighting spirit allows him to momentarily gain the upper hand. Surpassing his potential as a lower-class warrior by mastering the legendary Kaioken technique. Yet, Vegeta, ever the cunning strategist is still far from beaten. Fearing he is outmatched reveals his ultimate trump card. A full-blooded Saiyan’s innate ability to transform into a monstrous ape. The terrifying Oozaru!

I set out to build an impressive eye-catching model, which accurately captures the staggering scale of this monstrous transformation - relative to a standard Lego minifigure.

Ape Vegeta is fully posable and features multiple points of articulation. Allowing for dynamic play and endless display options. Head, mouth, arms and hands all function (with some minor limitations). Also included are additional bricks to display Vegeta in alternate battle damaged expression.

Goku is also customizable with additional bricks supplied to display him as he quickly dodges attack and escapes to safety, using the Kaioken technique.
