National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation- is a 1989 Christmas movie... this movie is a must-watch every holiday season for my family. This is a full house version of the family classic movie, I wanted to put it on Lego ideas so others could enjoy my build as well.
As the holidays approach, Clark Griswold wants to have a perfect family Christmas, so he pesters his wife, Ellen, and children, as he tries to make sure everything is in line, including the tree and house decorations. However, things go awry quickly. His cousin, Eddie, shows up unplanned and starts living in his camper on the Griswold property. While I was working on this build, I put as much love and detail as I could into this classic holiday house.
Summary
This set consists of 4474 pieces. The Griswold house has 3 floors full of furniture and easter eggs from the movie. The house also comes with Eddies RV and a small pool from Clark’s dream.
Main Floor:
- Working fireplace in both living rooms
- Christmas tree with a squirrel in it.
- The entrance way by the door there is an envelope with Clark’s Christmas bonus.
- A staircase to get to the second floor
- Full kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave and food for the family supper
- Dining room with working doors to get to the kitchen area
- Laundry area
Second Floor:
- Clark and Ellen's bedroom
- Rusty bedroom with bunk beds
- Audrey bedroom
- Bathroom with shower and toilet
- Staircase with handrail that Clark cuts off with his saw
- Attic hatch
Attic:
- Working attic hatch
- Moving planks to come upward
- Area in the attic to break into rusty bedroom in the ceiling
- Hidden present in fireplace chimney
Garage:
- Working garage door to open and close.
- The garage can detached from the house to open up the roof to grab some more Christmas lights for the house or to shine up the Griswold Saucer Sled

- Eddies motor home
- Pool from Clark’s dream
- Santa sleigh with reindeer for the front lawn
- Ladder to help put up the lights on the roof or second level of the house
- Broken gutter
- All floors can open up for great playability
