National Lampoons Christmas Vacation!

Say hello to the Griswald family home and come join us for Christmas Vacation! With Christmas 1989 fast approached Clark Griswald set out to have the hap happiest Christmas since Bing Crosby tap danced with Danny Kane. His family and life seemed to have other plans, what can go wrong does go wrong in this holiday classic. So here is my take on the National Lampoons classic Christmas Vacation!

I myself am a fan of all this Christmas and all things Christmas movies. Each year I watch as many holiday films as I can. A few of the staples are always Home Alone Jingle all the way and of course Christmas Vacation. Which got me wondering, Lego already has Home Alone, why not add another holiday classic home to to the list, because we always know our holiday villages need to continue to grow.

While designing this set I tried to include as many key parts of the film as I could in order to capture the essence of the movie.I tried to keep this house roughly the same footprint as that of the Home Alone house so that we could proudly display them together. This set consists of the two main floors and the attic. The first floor consist of the entryway, family room, dining room, kitchen (detachable) and den (detachable). The second floor consist of the pink bathroom and Rusty's room. While the attic hosts a place to kick back and watch old family videos (while you're locked up there.) It also comes with Cousin Eddie's RV and the family station wagon. This set is jam packed with different Easter eggs and goodies from the movie. They include Aunt Bethanys green jello with cat food, ladder for putting up lights, the pamphlet that Clark has for his new pool, because we know he is the last true family man, the spot where the cat chewed off more then it should have and many more. This set has 3400 pieces, and features doll house style doors and levels that separate to allow for tons of different ways to play and display this set. This set also features 11 minifigs!

National Lampoons Christmas Vacation house would be a great lego set because it would allow us to add to our holiday displays and pairs with the Home Alone set for our ever growing village as it is built to a similar size. The house itself is an absolute icon in holiday film, especially when Clark Griswald finally get those lights on, even though they're not twinkling.
