Modern Home

Modernism is a type of architecture characterised by clean lines, flat roofs, and a lack of ornament. Organic architecture are buildings designed to balance and fit with their natural surroundings. 

I built this set to create my take of incorporating both approaches while also providing good balance between building and nature, to make it look aesthetically appealing from every side. Like the kind of home you may find in a city or suburbs, or one you may want for yourself.

 

This set is a modern home built to a micro scale (microfigure scale). On the grounds the home has a seating area, a garden, with a large tree and a pool. The building itself includes of two main blocks separated by a bridge. A black building to the left houses the garage (if you peek inside you many already see cars parked). The brown building gives access to the garden roof patios and includes a bridge. The white building houses a balcony with a pool table and seating. Below the balcony is a large bedroom and below that is the lounge and kitchen.

 

This set is a total of 2080 pieces. Length of the base is 60 studs and width is 40 studs. The highest point reaches roughly 26 blocks high.

 

I believe this set will be a good fit for any modern/organic architecture fans and a good addition to a modern micro city.
