When i am not building Lego i work as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer.
There is many LEGO aircrafts out there. But what i often miss, is all the things surrounding the aircraft, actually making it airworthy.
When on job, i often compare my work with building a LEGO set :) I need to follow the manual 100% to get the result i want. The main difference is, that i rather not have any spare parts after assembling the airplane :)
For this build i wanted to create a so called PART-145 (Aircraft Maintenance Organisation). I wanted to make the set playable, so i have designed the plane for easy engine replacement. Besides that, the plane have 3 jacking points at the wheels which allows it to be placed on the 3 yellow jacks.
For the build i also created a Nitrogen cart for servicing wheels, a crane to lift the extra engine and an office for the mechanic and the pilot to work from.
This is a set i would personally love, both as a play set and as a display piece. I hope and think other aircraft nerds like myself would enjoy a build like this.
Hope you like it.
