Roman Bireme

This is my attempt at a Roman bireme. The bireme was developed during the Punic Wars and known for their agility and maneurverability. The bireme brought the might of the Roman Army by utilizing a corvus, a mobile bridge that anchored to the deck of the enemy's ship.

From this angle you can clearly see the two sets of oars coming out from the hull of the ship.

The stern of the ship contains the Roman officer and you can see the helmsman working the rudders.

This is a close up of the deck done with bricks (SNOT). You can also see some details of the rigging.

Finally, the crew. Beneath the deck lies oarsmen.
