Smurf Village

This is a model of the Smurf village, from the children's comics and cartoons of the Smurfs. Created by Belgian comic artist Peyo, the Smurfs are small creatures who live in a hidden village in the forest. Throughout the comics they have all sorts of adventures, usually involving their arch nemesis Gargamel, who wants to catch the smurfs in order to, depending on the source, either use them in a magic potion to create the philosopher's stone or eat them.

This model is made up of a little over 2700 bricks and consists of Papa Smurf's house, Smurfette's house, Chef Smurf's bakery and Handy Smurf's workshop as well as a small bridge that leads to the village, a rowing boat on the shore of the river and the village well. The model comes with 15 minifigures and the cat Azrael. These figures are (in order in which they appear on the picture): Papa Smurf, Brainy Smurf, Clumsy Smurf, Handy Smurf, Jokey Smurf, Sleepy Smurf, Grouchy Smurf, Harmony Smurf, Hefty Smurf, Chef Smurf, Smurfette, Vanity Smurf, Farmer Smurf, Baby Smurf and Gargamel.

The Smurfs was one of my favorite comics during my childhood and I hope to bring this feeling of nostalgia for the franchise into Lego. I would be great to get this model to 10.000 votes, so it can become an actual set.
