A homage to the Classic Space sets of the 1980s, this build uses many classic Lego pieces and retains the abundant use of blue, grey and trans-yellow that made the theme so distinctive.
As a kid I loved the Classic Space theme and amassed a huge collection during the '80s. I've attempted to make this build feel as if it may have been a product of that Classic Space era.
More than a model, this set includes many playable features including rotating gun turret and missile pod, rocket launch platform, opening Science Bay (with light brick), detachable prison module for holding captured Alien Marauders and a fully articulated Anti-Orbital Attack Cannon.
This set would appeal to both the kids who love the fantasy and adventure that Classic Space offers and the older fan who craves a healthy hit of Lego nostalgia.
