The Cone Walkthrough Video:
Welcome to The Cone!
Come down and visit your local ice cream parlour and treat yourself to some of your favourite frozen delights! Located in your neighbourhood, this shop is the perfect place to relax and enjoy some ice cream on a sunny Sunday afternoon with your friends and family. Sit outside, read the newspaper, and enjoy your frozen treats while you watch the calmness of nature, and your surroundings clear your mind.
The Story
Inside the parlour, John is working his normal afternoon shift at the family-run restaurant while serving a mother and her daughter a vanilla ice cream cone and an orange popsicle. Outside, Thomas, Johns's son, enjoys a warm drink on his break while Kyle is excited to finally eat his first ice cream cone in a long time. A squirrel admires the flowers on the sidewalk near one of the entrances while a newborn bird hatches from her nest on the roof. A rodent investigates the garbage cans outside of the parlour during a typical Sunday afternoon at The Cone.
About The Build
This model is 22cm high, 38cm wide, and illustrates an eclectic modernized, and family-orientated design. The Cone can function as a stand-alone display piece or can be integrated into any Lego city composition. This medium-sized building contains 1763 pieces, five unique minifigures, and an open-face architectural interior layout that creates a fun and playable atmosphere for all ages. The Cone contains five unique stickers and an ice cream bar centrepiece comprised of multiple ice cream flavours and frozen treats. To top it all off, its signature icon, the ice cream cone, stands out to the residents in the neighbourhood as a reminder of the go-to place for ice cream.
Motivation
My motivation for this build stemmed from my love of ice cream and frozen treats. I was inspired by a local ice cream shop in my hometown and wanted to bring to life the modern architectural interior layout while still maintaining the family-run business, old structural engineering exterior design that can be found in any local community. The goal was to create a design highlighting the joy of eating ice cream and capturing the everlasting memories shared with those we love.
I hope that with your support by liking, commenting, and sharing my design we can turn The Cone into an official Lego Ideas set!
Thank you,
