"WHAT'D YOU DO?"- Tommy Callahan
The 1995 comedy film Tommy Boy, follows the journey of Tommy, who unexpectedly inherits his father's auto parts business after his sudden passing. Faced with saving the company from bankruptcy, Tommy embarks on a cross-country road trip to sell brake pads with his father's assistant, Richard.
Inspired by my favorite scene from Tommy Boy, I have recreated the gas station setting where Tommy and Richard stop to ask for directions to Davenport.
Gas Station
The gas station features a brick facade, sand-green walls, and a dark green roof. Its exterior is complete with an ice machine, a tire rack, CITGO gas pumps, and the CITGO street sign. Inside, the gas station clerk sits at his desk reading his book, surrounded by shelves containing items from the film. Richard can also be seen asking for directions with a map.
Richard's Plymouth GTX
You can't recreate the "WHAT'D YOU DO?" scene without including Richard's Plymouth GTX. Richard's car features a blue color scheme to match the vehicle in the film. It is built in the "SPEED CHAMPIONS" style. The car has a detachable roof allowing both Tommy and Richard to fit inside, and opening/detachable doors.
Minifigures
There are 3 minifigures included in this set: Tommy Callahan, Richard Hayden, and the gas station clerk. Each minifigure is dressed in their attire from the film.

TOMMY BOY-WHAT'D YOU DO? would make a great set because it is a beloved classic that features many quotable lines. It would also make a great tribute to the late actor, Chris Farley, whose energy and talent brought joy to many fans.
