The Secret Life of Pets: The Apartment Building

Welcome to the Apartment building from the Secret life of pets universe!!
The secret life of pets is an animation movie that was released in 2016 and in my opinion it is one of the best animated movies. I recently re-watched the movie and that was when I came up with the idea of recreating the Apartment building in Lego form; so here it is.

The build consists of 4 modular sections:

  • The sewer - Sweet pea's, Buddy's, Mel's apartment:

At the middle of the movie the main characters (Max and Duke) are captured by "the flushed pets", a team of pets that were dumped by their owners and have, let's say a rivalry with humans and pets. The base of this team are the sewers so I had to include this location to the build. There are pipes inside, a big one where the "Sacred viper" comes out as well as a memorial for Rick the duck, a former member of the flushed pets. Above the sewer there is the ground floor of the building which includes Mel's, Buddy's and sweet pea's apartments. On the left side there is Buddy's apartment with a blender which as we see in the movie uses to scratch his back. In the middle there is sweet pea's apartment. It includes its cage as well as a TV with a program showing a fighter jet. This is a reference to the movie scene where it uses the TV and a fan to fly inside the building with the right vibe. The last apartment in this floor, Mel's apartment includes an armchair. Another reference to the movie when Mel gets ready to bark at squirrels at the tree outside.

  • Max's and Duke's apartment:

At the first floor there is max's apartment with a couch, a coffee table, a fully equipped kitchen and a flower pot. There is also the iconic green balcony with the staircase leading to the other floors.

  • Pop's apartment:

In the first movie we see just a few scenes inside pop's apartment and that is the reason why this apartment was quite difficult to design. There is an old style couch, a coffee table and a pool table with a working catapult. The pets used that catapult to play cat darts on the wall. Finally, there is the green staircase present here as well.

  • The roof - Tiberius' home:

The roof has a Victorian style awning as well as Tiberius' home.

Lastly, there is the van that Max and Duke are captured and put in before they are rescued by the flushed pets.

I really believe this could become an official Lego set, as it refers to one of the most loved animated movies, and it offers both playability and displayability so kids and adults can enjoy it.
