Monet's Bridge Over a Pond of Lilies

Claude Monet's Bridge over pond of water lilies is one of the masterpieces of Impressionism and a well-known painting all over the world.

Monet was deeply interested in horticulture and created a perfect environment for his peinture en plein air in Giverny. The bridge was built in such occasion and the French painter made of it one of his privileged subjects, representing this view several times, with different lights and seasonal colours.

Five years ago, we built a simple version of the bridge and won an Italian contest; nowadays we have designed an amazing 3D version of 818 bricks. We chose not to opt for a particular version, but to recreate the peaceful atmosphere they all convey. The project idea, as you can see, is made up of three big trees, some bushes, some flowers and, obviously, very lots of lilies! The repertoire of bricks is limited like in a LEGO set; minifigures can cross the bridge carefree. Such a set would be adaptable to natural mountain or fluvial layouts.

Thank you for reading and if you want our model to become a real set, please support it. We'll be posting updates and new projects and we'd be glad if you followed us.

Put your bricks up!
