The original wooden monkey figure was made in 1951 by the Danish designer Kay Bojesen, and it's the most famous of his many wooden figures.
This LEGO model of the figure is 23 cm (9 in) tall when sitting down. I built it because it's a nice display piece to have on the shelf. Like the real figure, the arms and legs can be placed in many positions. See the last picture for comparison.
