Coney Island Cyclone - 100th Anniversary

The world's most iconic roller coaster is about to turn 100 years old! What better way to celebrate than to have this ride immortalized in Lego? Built all the way back in 1927, this will only be the 13th coaster to ever reach this huge milestone!

Designed by Vernon Keenan in the original iteration of Luna Park located on Coney Island, this roller coaster has had a very tumultuous history. It has survived several park closures, fire, developers, city officials, and abandonment. Through all that and multiple renovations, the Cyclone has remained perhaps as good as always and one of the greatest classic wooden coasters ever created.

As an avid roller coaster enthusiast, I have traveled the world riding some of the best rides ever created. I've wanted to bring that passion into the Lego form with a far more realistic roller coaster display model. It has been built to minifigure scale with a full 24-person train and has working buzzbar restraints. The base has been modeled to resemble the classic beachside boardwalk.
