Help your fellow builder by leaving your feedback based on these three criteria:
- Originality: How original is this - never seen before?
- Building Techniques: How much skill do you think the creator of this MOC has, in terms of building technique?
- Details: Express how much you like the details of the build.
Your feedback is only shown to the creator as well as yourself. It is not available for other users to see. The creator won't see your user name.
An authentic, fully functional, reproduction of the infamous and deadly Trebuchet; a medieval machine of war capable of hurling large boulders (in this case a small plastic LEGO ball) or flaming projectiles, to destroy an enemy castle’s walls.
The machine uses a heavy counterweight pendulum, and is thereby considered superior to the traditional catapult, to generate tremendous throwing force (i.e., the LEGO ball can be thrown a maximum distance of about 15-20 feet).
Model dimensions: duh... I forgot to measure them, but you get a sense of the scale from the hand in the above photo.

Here's a good view of the counterweight.
Here's a good shot of the leather sling.
The dangling leather sling can just be made out at the top of this photo. This is the top portion of the A-frame design.
