Origin:
Tahu is a temperamental and focused explorer and warrior character originating from LEGO’s Bionicle theme and storyline. Tahu was created as a Toa, a guardian of the land of Mata Nui and strong with the elemental power of fire.
Bionicle itself is beloved by many (including myself) for portraying a unique ecosystem with surreal and detailed designs in a layered story. Tahu is Bionicle’s most iconic and one of its important characters. This build is my interpretation of it.
Features:
Similar to the original sets, it features a sturdy, compact build, light refractive eyes, robotic aesthetic, and removable Hau - the mask of shielding. Unlike previous versions, the Hau is fully brick-built. Another twist this offers is more literal, with a highly flexible torso that swings the arms in unison when adjusted, like mechanical puppetry. Additionally, the swords of fire can be re-attached in a myriad of ways to provide multipurpose utility. It makes for an engaging build, fun play experience, and an eye-catching display piece.
This was built using only parts currently in production.
