Soma Cube is my favorite puzzle game. I want it to build it in LEGO so that all people can build it, play it, and love it.
What is Soma Cube?
The Soma cube is a solid 3x3x3 dissection puzzle invented by Piet Hein in 1933 during a lecture on quantum mechanics conducted by Werner Heisenberg. The Soma Cube is split into 7 entirely unique pieces, made of 27 cubes. The number of cubes in each piece cannot exceed 4, and each piece has to be irregular, with a nook or turn.
How to play?
The object of this puzzle is to organize these 7 pieces into a solid cube. There are a total of 240 possible distinct solutions excluding rotations.
What's more?
The 7 pieces can also be manipulated into a multitude of other shapes including a dog, a scorpion, a tyrannosaurus rex, a serpent, a bathtub, a stair, a bridge, a wall, a bed and a chair. Ability in completing Soma Cube puzzles gives remarkably accurate insight into ones intelligence. The speed and accuracy at which one can complete a Soma Cube correlates greatly with ones IQ.
