Durning late 400 AD, a man named Aryabhatta lived in India during the Gupta Empire. Aryabhatta was a mathmatician and astronomer who discovered and invented many groundbreaking things.
These included the invention of zero and the decimal system. He also discoverd that earth spun on an axis. One discovery that I thought was amazing and quite cool was his discovery that the earth is round. He did this by studing eclipses. I loved learning about this and I thought it would make a great LEGO set.
This model shows Aryabhatta looking up at the dark moon with the cracks of white light surrounding it. I am very lucky to have seen a total eclipse and this was my try at recreating it in LEGO.
