King Tut’s Mask

King Tut’s Mask (aka The Mask of Tutankhamun) is one of the most recognizable artifacts from the ancient world. As many people probably are, I’m fascinated with ancient Egypt, and I think it would be amazing for everyone to have the chance to build and display a Lego King Tut Mask.

I have been working on this project, off-and-on, since early 2018 and always kept coming back to this Idea. After building, redesigning, and building again (many times), I finally finished in late 2024.

Features & details

Two Minifigures:
1.     King Tut – resting in his famously shaped human coffin
2.     Anubis – the ancient jackal-headed Egyptian god of funerary practices (including the mummification process)

Side Build:
King Tut’s sarcophagus. The sarcophagus was made of quartzite with a red granite lid and was enclosed within four nested shrines.

Color:
The main colors are ‘dark blue’ and ‘bright light orange’. It would be more accurate to use gold, however ‘bright light orange’ works well. Since the project would require a re-color of several existing pieces, the images are photoshopped (for color adjustments only) to give a better suggestion of what the final product could look like.

Dimensions (approximate):
Height: 11” (28cm)
Width: 12” (30.5cm)
Depth: 9.5” (24cm)

Thanks for checking out my King Tut Ideas project, hope you like it!
