Deep Submergence Vehicle Alvin is undoubtedly one of the most famous research vessels in the history of oceanography. Launched in 1964 and operated by the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, Alvin has explored the depths for almost 50 years. In that time, the vessel has visited the wrecks of the RMS Titanic and USS Scorpion, has discovered valuable information about our planet's oceans, and has even been attacked by a swordfish! Now you can build this historic research submersible and do a little undersea exploration of your own!
