Mr. Gold's Luxury Roadster

This is my build of Mr. Gold's Luxary Roadster. It was built out of 784 parts and includes Mr. Gold, Mrs. Gold, the Luxury Roadster, and a base to complete the diorama with four trees and a collection of animals. When designing the Roadster, I tried to capture an elegant yet sporty take on the classic Mr. Gold. From the start, I knew the car would be mostly gold, but it was not until partway through the building that I finally decided on the dark red accents throughout the vehicle. I wanted to keep the base very uniform but still packed with small details; using roughly the same tree design for all four gave me the cleanness I was hoping for, but I still could change a few leaves here and there to keep it interesting. The sprinkling of rocks and leaves on the ground adds some texture and detail to the back of the build, as well as what the dog left behind.

When Mr. Gold was released in 2013, I was obsessed and could not get enough. I loved playing the game that was available back then, and I had high hopes that I would be lucky and manage to find him. this did not happen, but during my search, I would think of what I would do if I got him, and my first thought was always to build him a car. Obviously, my builds back in the day were not very detailed, but they still inspire me to this day, 11 years later, when I feel I have done my younger self justice and built what I imagined all those years ago.

This would make for a great set because it can appeal to a large audience with all the different builds and characters. This set is for you if you are into cars, builds with vegetation, animals, specialized minifigures, or any diorama that displays nicely. As well as if you have any nostalgia for Mr. Gold as I do.

Thank you for your support! Let's get Mr. Gold back on shelves!
