Retro Space Adventure Movie Diorama

Inspired by the Retro Space Heroine from CMF Series 26 and her male counterpart from CMF Series 17, I've built a small diorama as an Hommage to Retro Space Movies.

I have a thing for nostalgic Retro Space aesthetics and really liked both figures with their cartoony expressions and kind of silly space outfits, so I wanted to display them together in a little scenery. I started with the rocket ship, which I intended to design like something a kid would draw. I'm not the best builder when it comes to round shapes, so I decided to make the ship mostly 2D-ish to begin with. When I finished the draft for the space ship, it occurred to me that it looked a little like some set decoration from early sci-fi movies, so I decided to go with that vibe and just add some random wooden boards to the back to exaggerate this. The rest of the scenery pretty much built itself from that premise: a funny looking alien operated by some helper hidden behind a rock and a bit of weird vegetation...

And of course, there has to be a clumsy Robot that always gets in trouble. So I added a little side build in which CyBark (that's what I call the robo-dog) goes on an exploration tour and doesn't even notice that he has attracted the attention of a curious vine alien. Can Rob-Utler, the friendly robot butler, save our mechanical friend from this dangerous situation?

I hope you enjoy my little Retro Sci-fi Hommage!
