This miniature orrery shows the rotation of Earth as well as the orbit of the Moon. Using a somewhat simple gear system, Earth spins on its axis as the Moon revolves around Earth. A hand crank operates the machine.
Interesting Information
This set contains approximately 250 pieces.
Just like in real life, the Moon orbits Earth the same way Earth rotates, counter-clockwise. Also, the Moon revolves around Earth at a slower pace than Earth spinning.
