Filmation's Ghostbusters Ghost Buggy

The inspiration
This project is inspired by the animated TV series Filmation's Ghostbusters, created by Filmation Associates in 1986 as the sequel to 1975 live-action TV show The Ghost Busters (also created by Filmation Associates), starring Forrest Tucker, Larry Storch and Bob Burns.

This is a different series from the 1984 Columbia Pictures movie Ghostbusters or the animated TV series The Real Ghostbusters, which inspired the LEGO sets we all know.

Filmation's Ghostbusters series describes the adventures of Jake Kong Jr. and Eddie Spencer Jr., both sons of the original TV series protagonists, and Tracy the gorilla, who appears in the original series alongside their parents.

The Idea
The idea of the project is to create the legendary Ghost Buggy, the car of our heroes, in minifigures scale.

For those unfamiliar with it, the Ghost Buggy is a talking car, whose appearance recalls a Willy-Overland from the 1920s.
Its face is represented by a ghost in the front of the car, and it's also the logo of the series.
Ghost Buggy has several abilities: its wheels rise like stilts, it can travel through time, and it can move not only on land, but also in the air and on water.

The LEGO project recreates all these skills: it is possible to adjust the height of the wheels from the ground. By adding wings and aerodynamic head, the Ghost Buggy transforms into flight mode. By replacing the wheels with floating rafts, it is able to travel on water.

The project consists of 360 pieces, including all elements for transformations.
The idea is completed by the minifigures of the three ghostbusters Jake, Eddie and Tracy (from left to right in the last 2 images).

I grew up watching this series, it is a piece of my childhood, and I hope you enjoy the project and want to support it!
Thanks in advance and... Let's Go Ghostbusters!
