The solid white shell with black buttons is from the very first Japanese release in 1996. The translucent blue shell with yellow buttons is from the very first international releases the following year.
Just like the real thing, you can see the “electronics” inside the translucent shell, and the screen tiles are printed with the background art and a character sprite (Mametchi) from this generation. Even the battery warning stickers (one in Japanese and one in English) are included!
