The Pfalz D.III was a much under-rated 1917 fighter aircraft. In spite of an excellent design, German pilots were generally (unjustifiably) prejudiced against it, comparing it unfavourably with concurrent Albatros and Fokker models. Nonetheless, it was produced in large numbers and its structural strength made it particularly effective in attacking observation balloons. Jasta 10 was equipped with yellow-nosed Pfalz D.IIIs. My model is in the personal colour scheme of Hans Klein of that Jasta.
This makes model number 20 which, I think, is enough for this series. In the next phase I'll focus on updates of these models. If you are a fan of aircraft of this era, then I hope I have covered your personal favorite. If not drop me a comment and I'll see what I can do.
