Animals And Nature: Penguins

This set is the first part of my planned series of Animals in their nature that they live in. In every set, I will make an animal, sometimes a family, and make a 16x16 LEGO nature diorama with the environment that the animal lives in. I will also make one or two trees and a river to show the nature of it.
The purpose of these sets is not only for decoration or for potential zoo's or getting that cute mini animal, it's also for educational reasons. Sure, some things aren't true, but the overall layout will be true and realistic. The trees are always realistic, the layout, the river, and many other things.

This set contains 4 penguins, one mom, one dad, one daughter and one son. The layout itself is a snowy hill with a frozen river with snow across it, and a piece of flat ground with two spruces.

This is the first part of the Animal And Nature series. Some planned sets are: Cows, Mountain Goats, monkeys, and tortoises.

This picture show the 4 penguins. I was inspired from a design from a friend of mine, but most of it is my design.

This picture below shows the backs of the penguins and the terrain. As you can see, it's a rough hill with some rocks and dirt sticking out. You can also see the snow covered river and the flat piece.

This picture show more of the smoothness of the hill. Note the river going out on the side, as this is supposed to look like something vut frm a winter field. With penguins.

This is the last picture that shows the tree design and a view of the hill. It also shows the compactness of the set.

The set contains 212 bricks, and the adult male penguin is made of 14 bricks.
