I’ve been wanting to do a new ship for a while that I might represent an “affordable” tourist trip into low earth orbit. I went back to some of the early Space Shuttle concepts and decided I wanted to do a lifting body sort of ship. Essentially this little vessel would ride atop a rocket, much like the real X-37 does. Once there everyone on-board can have a snack and a drink and start taking pictures! Being a lifting body, the fuselage is the wing and is used to generate lift instead of wings. For more information on REAL lifting body vehicles check out NASA Dryden’s Lifting Body page!

Inside everyone can get a snack and enjoy the view!
The read hatch opens and closes allowing for a safe exit.
