Tourbillon is an addition to the mechanical watch escapement. It reduces the effect of gravity by rotating itself. This model is “Triple-axis Tourbillon”. In this tourbillon the escapement and the balance wheel rotate in three directions.
By building this model you can understand these complicated mechanisms easily. A turntable gear, a white rubber band and an M-motor were used for a sun gear, hairspring and mainspring, respectively.
