Container Terminal
Container Terminal is a crane facility often seen at ports or large railroad stations. It enables the transfer of containers from rail to trucks and vice versa. under the container terminal there are two tracks side by side. The containers can be lifted onto a truck by means of the crane‘s hanger.
the crane can be move back ans forth on rails. The lifting crane itself can be moved left and right by a motor. Finally, the hook with rope is controlled by a second motor so that the containers can be lifted and lowered remotely.
This idea is challenging to put together and offers a lot of fun. It fits perfectly with Lego City models, but also has many elements of Technics
Main features
- 2 PowerUp Motors
- Remote Controlled
- The hook for pulling containers is below the cabine
- The hook can be directed up and down using RC
- The cabine can be moved back and front using RC
- The whole facility can be moved right and left
- Under the facility, there is enough space for two tracks and a street
The project is inpired by a crane facility of a harbor, which moves containers from trains to ships and vice versa.
The projects fits perfectly to the Lego set 60198: the containers if that set can be lifted from or onto the raiö wagon which is included in that set. Since a fork is included in that set, you can easily build the two tracks under the facility.
