Remember when Lego had the rights to make sets based on SpongeBob SquarePants? Well, they didn't really put in much love to the show, only releasing two sets a year and the colours and minifigs didn't look much like the show. This is why nowadays, Lego no longer has the Nickelodeon licence. But if they still had it, the sets would look much better by now and the show (Along with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) would've been featured in the now very popular toys-to-life game, Lego Dimensions. And that's where I come in. My mission is to help Lego get the Nickelodeon licence back and put more love to their brands so that manly some of franchises can be featured in Lego Dimensions because they would make an awesome addition to the game. This is when this set is born.

This set was based on an actual Lego SpongeBob set, but it doesn't have Squidward's house or Patrick's house, but it's fully updated to capture the same look, colours and designs from the show (Well, not exactly with the model I build, but when this becomes a real set, it would look more like the show).

This set comes with 4 minifigs which are SpongeBob himself, Patrick, Squidward and Gary (By the way, I wanted Gary to look like an actual molded figure, not a constructed model. I had to work what Lego Digital Designers had). SpongeBob's pineapple house, which can be opened to play basketball and also chill out and relax in there. You can also hang out outside the house, have a picnic outside or just relax in the sun. Or you could recreate your favorite SpongeBob episodes with this.

I'm sure this set would make a great set because season 10 of SpongeBob has been successful so far and kids would definitely love it.

Hopefully when this set is up on the shelves and becomes a success, Lego would fully get the Nickelodeon licence back and put more love to the brands like release more sets that fully captures the designs of the shows, release series of blind polybags based on the characters from the shows and, like I mentioned earlier, so that they can be featured into Lego Dimensions.

So, are you really to make this set a real set and help Lego get the Nickelodeon licence back?
