Released in 2002 by Studio Ghibli, The Cat Returns is a fun animated fantasy film about a young girl named Haru Yoshioka who is forced to marry a cat prince, and must seek the help of a cat named Baron Humbert von Gikkingen. The film was based on the manga of the same name by Aoi Hiiragi. The manga was a spin-off of another manga titled Whisper of the Heart (which was also adapted into a film by Studio Ghibli).
This project consists of brick-built models of the film's two main characters, Baron and Haru. Haru measures approximately 7 1/3 bricks tall, while Baron measures approximately 9 1/3 bricks tall. It would include printed decals on the eyes, as well as on Haru's school uniform and Baron's face and jacket.
I think this would make a very cool collectable, especially for anime and Studio Ghibli fans. Although The Cat Returns is one of Ghibli's lesser known films, I believe it would still make for a good set.
