Since 1986, people from around the world have fought against evil as galactic bounty hunter Samus Aran, the protagonist of Nintendo's video game franchise Metroid. From legions of Space Pirates to shadow dimensions to corrupt clones, Samus has overcome them all.
And now you have the chance to build a piece of that history, as Samus' Chozo Power Suit would not be complete with her helmet. The combination of crimson red and brilliant green is nothing less than iconic, and will make a fine addition to any other LEGO helmet models you may own.
This specific version of the helmet was first seen in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, and is defined by a more angular visor, along with smaller air hoses.
Design Process:
Started this back in April, and took a few months to finish; I really wanted to give up a couple times, as I have NO experience designing sculptures of this kind; guess being stubborn has it's advantages.
There were two main reasons I wanted to submit this:
- Unlike my other MOC's, this one won't fall apart if you look at it wrong.
- Honestly, I'd like to see how a Master Builder would design the visor.
[10/20/21] Replaced the front layer of the visor with transparent neon-green pieces, as my initial concept intended.
