Japanese Kabuto Ornament 兜飾り

How about an ornament to make a room or office feel special?
Like the LEGO Ideas 92177 Ship in a Bottle or 21332 The Globe.

In Japan, there is a festival called Children's Day, when Samurai (侍) helmets known as Kabuto (兜) and Samurai dolls are displayed with the wish that children will grow up strong and healthy.
This is because the swords, bows, and arrows displayed with Kabuto are meant to ward off evil spirits and protect children from disasters and illness.

First, take a look at the beautiful Kabuto decorations on Pinterest.

I wanted to recreate this traditional and beautiful ornament in LEGO and share it with you.

Japanese Kabuto (兜) are not only armor, but are also highly valuable works of art and come in a variety of designs.
Typical examples are the gorgeous Kabuto of the Heian (平安) period, such as those worn by Minamoto no Yoshitsune (源義経) .
In addition, many Kabuto of unique Samurai appeared during the Sengoku (戦国) period, and Kabuto of Sanada Yukimura (真田幸村) and Date Masamune (伊達政宗) are especially popular among fans.

What was difficult in the production was to make sure that Kabuto made to completely different designs could be placed on the same display stand, and to express the smooth curves of Japanese swords.
What was also a joy was coming up with a way to attach the plate parts to the box legs at an angle.
Thinking of new ways to use parts for what I want to reproduce is one of the great pleasures of LEGO.

In the end, I was able to create a satisfactory piece with 2,911 parts.

I would be happy if this could be an opportunity to get people interested in real Japanese Kabuto as well.

It is my dream to design a Lego product.
And I want to achieve it with something that does not resemble any of the previous products.
