Game Rules and The Snitch
Game Rules:
Youngest player goes first.
Dice:
Gold - Move your seeker one step closer to the snitch.
Black - Hit the bludger at the opposing player, knocking the quaffle out of the chaser's hand and grabbing it with your chaser.
Orange - Throw the quaffle attempting to score a goal. Opposing player has a chance to block the quaffle by rolling an orange. If an orange is not rolled by the opposing team, a point is awarded. The quaffle then goes to the opposing team (who just had a point scored against them). If your chaser is blocked by beaters you cannot throw the quaffle to score, but can move one space.
1 dot - Move one space.*
2 dots - Move two spaces.*
3 dots - Move three spaces.*
*Player may move in any direction (forward, backwards, diagonally). If the space is occupied by the opposing players chaser or your own beaters you may hop over them. If it is occupied by the opposing players beaters you are blocked and have to move around on the next turn.
Positions:
Each team has five players: One seeker, one keeper, one chaser and two beaters.
Seeker: Stays on the snitch board attempting to catch the snitch.
Keeper: Must stay in the brown squares in order to block.
Chaser: Carries the quaffle around and attempts to score points.
Beaters: Used to block opposing players and steal the quaffle.
Winning the Game:
First player to score 10 points wins the match.
Quaffle: 1 point
Snitch: 5 points*
*Once the snitch has been caught the game ends. Person with the most points wins. You can adjust how many points you want as the winning score before the game starts in order to make the game last shorter or longer.
Snitch chase board:
Updated game board: added covers to the players to distinguish their position and added a little more detail to the brooms.
